A sunny, semi-furnished apartment in Palotanegyed (Józsefváros, District VIII.) is available for rent for a fixed term of up to one year. Students and academic researchers with scholarships will be given priority. Rental fee is 600 EUR per month. This price is slightly negotiable if justified. Additional costs are partially based on consumption: ~180 EUR The apartment is on the third floor of a more than 100-year-old building, which has both an elevator and a characteristic open-air access gallery. The ceiling height in the apartment is almost 4 metres. The total floor area is 52 m². The apartment has a very nice living room of approximately 25 m², with an open-plan kitchen equipped with a microwave, an oven and basic kitchen utensils. The small study is approximately 8 m². The bathroom, which has a shower, was renovated a few years ago. The entrance hall is spacious and easy to furnish and also has a built-in wardrobe. There is parquet flooring throughout the apartment, except in the small study and the bathroom. The apartment has good insulation. Although the windows and doors are old, they are beautiful original wooden ones. The apartment would be particularly suitable for a student or an early-career researcher. It will be available from early September, cleaned and ready for its new tenant. A new internet contract will need to be arranged. I can help with this, but the tenant is also welcome to arrange their own contract or transfer an existing one, if possible. The rent is below the current market price for a number of personal reasons. For this reason, a fixed-term lease would need to be signed, probably for no longer than one year. A one-month deposit is expected to be paid. Interested applicants are kindly asked to write a brief, one-page introduction about themselves, including why they are interested in the apartment and where they work or study.
